It could be that there is a plastic cover, covering the bottom part of the charge port. If so, this plastic cover needs to be removed in order to plug in the CCS connector.

Charge speed
The charge speed is up to 100 kW at our 150+ kW fast chargers, and 50 kW at our other chargers. In the charge curve below you can see the charge speed of the I-PACE at both chargers. On average the I-PACE charges 100 km in 15 – 30 minutes. At a 175 kW charger, the charge speed will slowly drop as of 40%. At a 50 kW charger, this happens as of 80%.
Charge curve
The charge curve shows the charging behaviour of this car when the battery is in optimal conditions (around. 30 °C). A colder (or warmer) battery can result is a significantly lower charge speed.
Unlocking
In some cases, the car may not release the connector.
- To unlock the charging port when the vehicle is locked: Press the unlock button on the smart key three times. Wait 6 seconds for the charging port lock to release.
- Another option is the emergency release: For that, please open the bonnet and pull the emergency release ring, adjacent to the charge port. This allows the connector to be removed from the charge port.
