At our 'supermarket locations' we place stations with 50 kW fast chargers. These chargers are equipped with both a CCS and CHAdeMO plug. During this supermarket pilot we are trying to find out whether a DC-only offering will help to keep chargers available for customers who are in need of fast charging.
We know that slow AC charging on a parking space can attract plug-in hybrids and naturally encourages customers to stay connected to a charger for a long duration. We will continue to support AC charging on our regular station network.

Future supermarket locations
At the start of 2019 we will roll out our pilot to two more supermarket locations, at XL- stores in Eindhoven and Nijmegen. We cannot give the exact launch date at this time. As soon as a location is delivered, we will announce this via our website and social media channels.
Why no solar canopy?
This charging solution is not the same as our recognisable stations with solar canopies. It is a compact solution for busy locations in cities such as supermarkets. Nevertheless, each kWh delivered at these sites is also 100% from the sun and wind.
